iCAP : an ambitious programme for technology–enhanced learning

iCAP is the team in charge of technology enhanced learning at the University of       Lyon 1. The team is responsible for projects to develop and improve the quality of teaching throughout all the departments at University Lyon 1. The team’s approach is unique, innovative and has already proven to be very successful.

With years of experience, a multi-skilled team and a real focus on emerging technologies, iCAP is today, not only in France but across Europe, at the leading edge of providing support for lecturers, creating multimedia teaching resources such as the LMS, SpiralConnect, 3D animations, and serious games to name but a few.

  Our MISSION

To support and develop teaching at the Faculties of Science, Health and Sports by  :

- providing new teaching tools
- helping and supporting lecturers to switch  to interactive teaching
- designing and trialling new teaching technologies
- measuring and assessing the efficiency of new innovative teaching tools


  Our skills


iCAP runs, manages and develops Spiral, the e-learning platform which was developed in Lyon 1. iCAP is continuously improving Spiral in order to respond to lecturers’ needs and also to introduce new technologies which enhance teaching and learning.
